Petrus Wandrey: Public Exhibition at NBB Gallery (Berlin)
Step into the world of Petrus Wandrey (1939–2012), the German artist who anticipated the digital age and called his movement Digitalism. Wandrey fused classical form with circuitry, sacred icons with the language of microchips—turning pixels, boards and code into a visual grammar of our time.
Curated with care by Sabatier Gallery & Art Trade, the multi-generational house that continues to manage and preserve the Wandrey estate. This exhibition presents signature works from across his practice and marks the debut of his Tokenized Artwork Collection (blockchain-certified). It’s an encounter between legacy and the future; between matter and code.
What to expect:
Iconic Digitalism motifs: portraits, symbols and circuitry reimagined with precision and wit
Estate context: wall notes and provenance materials prepared with Sabatier’s connoisseurship
A first look at the tokenized presentation of selected works (gallery guidance available on site)
Special guests (Friday): On Friday, meet Dr. Ralf F. Hartmann (Director) and Christian Melzer (Artistic Director) of Museum Zitadelle Berlin during open hours.
