Steve Alain Lawrence’s remarkable journey began with humble origins as a runner on the Chicago Board of Trade. Through sheer determination and unwavering dedication, he steadily climbed the ranks, reaching the pinnacle of success. Today, he manages an impressive USD 250 million as a hedge fund manager at Balfour Capital Group, overseeing global assets across various markets, including stocks, bonds, commodities, currencies, and ETFs.

On April 11, 2023, a significant moment arrived when Steve was promoted to the esteemed position of Chief Investment Officer at Balfour Capital Group following the retirement of Co-CIO Daniel Greenwood, who had faithfully served the firm for two decades. Steve’s path to success began after he graduated from the renowned NYU Stern School of Business. Seeking to deepen his knowledge and further refine his financial acumen, he pursued a master’s degree in finance at the esteemed London School of Economics. Equipped with this comprehensive education, Steve embarked on a remarkable 23-year career in the financial markets, leaving an indelible mark at every stage.

In 1998, Steve joined Robert Fleming, where he spent two formative years before making a significant leap to Lehman Brothers. During his eight-year tenure there, he was recognized as the best in-house broker in 2005, showcasing his exceptional abilities and profound understanding of the industry. In September 2008, Steve assumed the role of Investment Analyst at Hambros Bank, where he successfully managed clients’ investments on a global scale.

In March 2016, a new chapter unfolded as Steve joined Balfour Capital Group as a senior investment advisor, bringing with him a wealth of experience acquired over 18 years. With close to a decade of experience in financial markets, Johan has an impressive track record in asset management and investment advisory services. He began his career at the Union Bank of Switzerland (UBS) in Lucerne, Switzerland, where he worked in the Wealth Management division. Vikram Aditya Srivastava is an introducer in Hong Kong, where he brings extensive experience in investment management and start-up investment. With a proven track record in raising funds for startups and managing relationships with investment firms and consultancies, Mr. Srivastava is well-positioned to make significant contributions to the team. Previously, he held roles at Coleman Research, where he drove significant growth for key accounts in APAC, and AngelHub, where he onboarded over 400 angel investors and raised over USD 3.5 million for more than 200 startups.

Mr. Srivastava’s most recent position was as a client management associate at Coleman Research, where he built and managed relationships with investment firms and consultancies to facilitate due diligence.

  • He was instrumental in driving a 1500% year-over-year growth for one of the key accounts in APAC, resulting in a revenue of USD 373,000 in the last 14 months.

Mr. Srivastava also has experience in sales and business development, having served as a sales &  business development analyst at Brinc, a hardware and food accelerator. Rohail A. Khan is a distinguished finance professional with over 25 years of robust experience in Corporate and Investment Banking, Project Finance, Private Equity, and Islamic Finance. With a career rooted in both Saudi Arabia and globally (USA, UK, Africa, Middle East), he has made significant contributions to enhance the financial ecosystem.

Currently, as Head of Financial Advisory at Westchester Capital LLC, he leads initiatives in debt and equity arrangement and IPO readiness, providing high-net-worth clients and corporate institutions with strategic financial solutions and business growth advisory.

Rohail’s expertise is underpinned by a series of senior C-level roles, including Vice President at Gulf International Bank, where he managed large-scale wholesale and institutional client relationships, advising conglomerates on IPOs, real estate investment trusts (REITs), mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and private placements.

One of his notable achievements was during his tenure as CEO of Dijlah Furat Islamic Bank, Iraq, where he managed credit, operations, investments, and IT, and expanded the bank’s operations across Iraq, Turkey, Lebanon, UK, and Bahrain. This role involved setting up SME financing programs in collaboration with USAID, demonstrating his commitment to financial inclusion and credit accessibility in emerging markets.

As Director of Finance at Rajhi Heavy Industries, he oversaw the financial and commercial management of a US$ 4 billion greenfield mega plant at King Abdullah Economic City, Jeddah.

Earlier in his career, Rohail held the position of CFO at Pan Gulf Group, where he led corporate expansion initiatives and oversaw treasury operations and business expansion. As CFO of Al-Khodari Group, he spearheaded the group’s “IPO flotation”, aligning it for market entry and corporate growth.

His experience also includes key roles in credit and relationship management at ABN Amro / Saudi Hollandi Bank, where he launched consumer finance products, structured finance solutions, and high net worth services; and Citibank / Saudi Cairo Bank, where he pioneered oil and gas syndicated project financing and Islamic finance offerings.
