Marwan Embaby is a seasoned finance professional with over seven years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, collections, treasury operations, and financial systems management across multiple sectors including oil & gas, manufacturing, business consulting, and financial services. With deep expertise in ERP platforms and a solution-oriented mindset, Marwan has consistently contributed to organizational liquidity, revenue assurance, and operational efficiency.
Currently serving as an A/R Accountant and Collections Specialist at a business consulting firm in Cairo, Marwan is responsible for cash application, customer account reconciliation, and collections performance. He brings advanced command over accounting platforms including SAP, QuickBooks, Zoho, and Odoo—ensuring high standards of invoice accuracy, customer service, and dispute resolution.
His previous roles include dual responsibility in billing and collections for Baker Hughes Egypt, where he developed KPI-focused reports, optimized DSO (Days Sales Outstanding), and ensured compliance with revenue recognition policies. Earlier in his career, he held treasury and A/P positions, including managing check disbursements, deposits, and outgoing payments through SAP workflows. Marwan has also worked in inventory and banking reconciliation roles and served as an accounting instructor, highlighting his versatility and knowledge-sharing orientation.
Academically, Marwan is pursuing an MBA in Finance and Banking from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport (expected August 2025), building upon a Bachelor’s in Accounting from Future University in Egypt. He has also completed Part 1 of the CMA (Certified Management Accountant) course through the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt and conducted research on the financial impact of transitioning from EAS 20 to IFRS 16.
