Previously, Daniel served as a convertible bonds broker at BGC Securities (Hong Kong) LLC, where he played a pivotal role in a two-person team managing the APAC region’s convertible bonds operations. His rapid adaptability has been crucial in generating monthly revenues ranging from USD 65k to 95k. In addition to trading, he has taken on responsibilities in middle-office operations, price modeling, trade execution, and system updates. Recognizing the importance of technological advancements, Daniel spearheaded the integration of AI to provide daily market trend updates, enhancing client services and desk efficiency.
Prior to his current role, Daniel excelled as a yacht broker & sales manager at NextWave Yachting/Sunseeker in Hong Kong. Within his first month, he successfully closed a USD 17 million yacht sale and listed USD 25 million worth of yachts on the preowned platform. His strategic approach to client prospecting, through networking and hosting high-net-worth (HNW) events with luxury brand partners, expanded the company’s client base. Additionally, Daniel played a key role in content marketing strategies, securing significant contracts and improving the company’s website through redesign and SEO optimization. His efforts in migrating the client database to the Odoo CRM system streamlined operations and enhanced customer relationship management.
Daniel’s career also includes experience as a junior equity derivatives broker at Sunrise Brokers, where he increased revenue by fourfold within a quarter by adding six institutional clients. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, he maintained strong client relationships through voice and text-based broking on the Asia Ex-Japan team, contributing to the daily strategy with insightful content creation.
