Rohail A. Khan is a distinguished finance professional with over 25 years of robust experience in Corporate and Investment Banking, Project Finance, Private Equity, and Islamic Finance. With a career rooted in both Saudi Arabia and globally (USA, UK, Africa, Middle East), he has made significant contributions to enhance the financial ecosystem.
Currently, as Head of Financial Advisory at Westchester Capital LLC, he leads initiatives in debt and equity arrangement and IPO readiness, providing high-net-worth clients and corporate institutions with strategic financial solutions and business growth advisory.
Rohail’s expertise is underpinned by a series of senior C-level roles, including Vice President at Gulf International Bank, where he managed large-scale wholesale and institutional client relationships, advising conglomerates on IPOs, real estate investment trusts (REITs), mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and private placements.
One of his notable achievements was during his tenure as CEO of Dijlah Furat Islamic Bank, Iraq, where he managed credit, operations, investments, and IT, and expanded the bank’s operations across Iraq, Turkey, Lebanon, UK, and Bahrain. This role involved setting up SME financing programs in collaboration with USAID, demonstrating his commitment to financial inclusion and credit accessibility in emerging markets.
As Director of Finance at Rajhi Heavy Industries, he oversaw the financial and commercial management of a US$ 4 billion greenfield mega plant at King Abdullah Economic City, Jeddah.
Earlier in his career, Rohail held the position of CFO at Pan Gulf Group, where he led corporate expansion initiatives and oversaw treasury operations and business expansion. As CFO of Al-Khodari Group, he spearheaded the group’s “IPO flotation”, aligning it for market entry and corporate growth.
His experience also includes key roles in credit and relationship management at ABN Amro / Saudi Hollandi Bank, where he launched consumer finance products, structured finance solutions, and high net worth services; and Citibank / Saudi Cairo Bank, where he pioneered oil and gas syndicated project financing and Islamic finance offerings.
Rohail’s educational background is extensive and diverse, featuring Investment Management Program from Harvard Business School and Private Equity certification from Wharton Business School. He is a Certified Mutual Funds Counselor from The College of Financial Planning, Colorado. Additionally, he is a Certified Lender in Business Banking and holds a Commercial Banking Diploma from the American Institute of Banking. His academic accomplishments include a Master’s in Economics from University of Karachi, where he graduated with a gold medal.
