Shamim Uz Zaman is an internationally trained legal and business expert with a broad range of experience in legal advisory, human resources, financial law, and management. Currently serving as a Legal Officer, HR & Admin at Gazi International, a member of Gazi Group based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, Shamim has been instrumental in providing legal protection, risk management, and contract negotiation services since February 2022.

In his current role, Shamim reviews and advises on various legal matters, including Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), contracts, and tender documents. He is actively involved in providing management with legal advice on compliance, regulatory matters, and policy development to ensure that all business activities are aligned with statutory obligations. His expertise also extends to litigation management, where he liaises with external legal counsel and manages ongoing legal cases.

In addition to his legal and management skills, Shamim has a strong foundation in IT and academic support, having worked as a Computer Lab Supervisor at Taylor’s University College in Subang Jaya, Malaysia. During this role, he provided technical assistance to students and faculty members and mentored international students in course selection.

Shamim’s career began in sales management at Farid Enterprise in Bangladesh, where he managed a small leather company and helped grow the business by promoting products to nationwide suppliers. His leadership in motivating sales teams and driving revenue growth helped position the company for long-term success.

Shamim holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of London, UK, and a Bachelor Diploma in General Business from Conestoga College, Ontario, Canada. His diverse educational and professional background, coupled with his passion for fintech and payment solutions, has equipped him with a unique perspective on the intersection of law and business.
